Our Four Offerings — Explained

The Global Conservatory has four distinct lesson formats. Faculty offer some combination of these; students mix and match across them. This page is the canonical reference — used by students, parents, and faculty to understand the same vocabulary.

In one sentence each

The four formats

  • 🎯 Private Lesson — 1-on-1 live, you and one student, faculty sets length and rate, pay-per-lesson.
  • 👥 Group Lesson — Multiple students drop in per session, first-come-first-served, lower per-person cost, no commitment.
  • 🏛️ Studio Class — Same students every week across a full term (e.g. Sep–Dec), single tuition, real cohort progression.
  • 🎤 Masterclass — Live event with two ticket tiers: a few performers play for the master, many observers watch.

Faculty design their own offerings — they decide price, length, capacity, and term. We just host the platform and add 25% on top of the faculty's stated rate.

🎯
Private Lesson
1-on-1 · pay-per-lesson

You and your faculty member, live on Zoom. Built around your repertoire and goals. The default starting point for most students.

👥
Group Lesson
Drop-in · first-come

2 to 40+ students learning together. Open enrollment. Pay per session. Best for theory, ear-training, intro topics, supplements.

🏛️
Studio Class
Fixed cohort · full term

Like a real conservatory class. Same students every week across a full term. Single tuition. Real progression. Method-school training.

🎤
Masterclass
Live event · perform or observe

Two ticket tiers. Performers play for the master and get feedback. Observers watch and learn. One-time event, often monthly.
