Faculty Application

The Global Conservatory

Welcome โ€” The Faculty Application

This is not an ordinary teaching position.

The Global Conservatory is building a live online conservatory model โ€” private lessons, masterclasses, studio classes, and selected programs across seven active divisions, with an eighth (Music Business & Industry) opening Fall 2027. Faculty come from Manhattan School of Music, Berklee, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Sibelius Academy, working sync agencies, indie labels, and beyond โ€” and from every country we can reach.

We are selecting carefully โ€” exceptional artists, educators, and working industry professionals who together will define a new global standard for music education online.

What you get as faculty:

  • Set your own rates. Your expertise, your price. We add 25% on top for the student โ€” you take home 100% of what you set.
  • Set your own schedule. Your calendar, your time zone, your formats โ€” Private, Group, Studio Class, Masterclass, or any combination.
  • Choose your students. No algorithms forcing matches. Students book directly into your published slots.
  • Curated community. Your profile sits among peers โ€” handpicked artists and educators from around the world.
  • Music Business & Industry founding-faculty โ€” if you currently work as a sync agent, music attorney, label A&R, working bandleader, music-tech founder, or studio business operator, mention this in Section 3 to be considered for the Fall 2027 cohort. (Optional โ€” most applicants don't apply for this track.)

Before you start โ€” what to have ready:

  • Headshot URL (or upload-ready photo)
  • Short bio (we'll guide you)
  • 1โ€“2 teaching or performance video links
  • Two reference contacts (name + email)
  • Legal name + tax residence (final section only)

Applicants from every country and every musical background are welcome. The application is detailed โ€” usually 15โ€“25 minutes, depending on how many lesson formats you offer. Every submission is reviewed personally by our Executive Board.

Before final submission you'll review and accept the Faculty Independent Contractor Agreement. No obligation until then.

Referrals are welcome but never required and do not replace individual faculty review.
